Brazil will be definite favourites to win and their squad is gathering lots of attention. With the likes of Neymar, Coutinho, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus and veteran defender Dani Alves their squad is looking special. After just losing out on Copa America to rivals Argentina in 2021, Brazil will be looking for redemption.
The current holders France look strong with a star-studded line-up including Kylian Mbappe and Paul Pogba. After coming from a disappointing Euro’s where they lost a 3-1 lead in the quarter-finals the team will be looking to prove that their stars are worth their metal.
1966 is the last time England brought home a major trophy and this finally looks like a team where the history of English football is not looming too large over the squad. Gareth Southgate has managed to bring a new sense of optimism and consistency to the squad. After just missing out to Italy in the final of Euro 2020, this could be one of England’s last opportunities to seal their place in history for this generation.
One major honour has managed to elude Lionel Messi – a World Cup win. After sealing Copa America last year the Argentina side has great momentum to go on and seal the biggest prize.
