Football Flick has been providing football essentials for over 10 years now! Within this time Football Flick have worked with some excellent talents, we look back at some of the ballers who have trained with our products and explore where they are now in their career.
Morgan Rogers and Lewis Fiorini
Morgan Rogers has got a promising loan move to Middlesbrough who are one of the biggest teams in the championship. He has had a good start at the Boro, he has grabbed two goals and 1 assist in the cup. While also making 7 appearances in the league where he nearly scored one of the goals of the season in this mazy run against Coventry!
Rogers did a special challenge with Football Flick last season in a competition called PRO v PRO.
Lewis Fiorini was also a part of this challenge! He is currently back at Manchester City staring in the under 21’s. Fiorini has been linked with several championship and Scottish teams but no move materialised.
Both players did excellent in the challenges we provided them with our PRO range and now they are both progressing nicely in their career!
Oscar Bobb
Not many people break through the Manchester City Academy with their star filled team taking up nearly all of the positions. However, Oscar Bobb has managed to crack the code making one EFL cup appearance, three in the Premier League and one in the Champions League! Oscar Bobb was part of many in the Manchester City academy who enjoyed using our Pro Skills Trainer.
Charlie Gray
Charlie has spent his whole youth career at Manchester City, having signed at the Club aged eight and progressing to be a scholar. More recently during this period Charlie has been using our Pro skills trainer to practise his volleys! He is a calming presence in the centre of midfield with an excellent range of passing, Gray has also tested himself at Under-18s level in 2022/23.
Justin Oboavwoduo
Justin is still a very young talent ages 17, he is highly regarded at Manchester City's academy. Deadly in front of goal coupled with outstanding trickery in tight areas characterise Justin's game. He enjoyed using his finishing skills with the Pro Skills trainer. following his impressive performances for Ben Wilkinson's Under-18s in their U18 Premier League title winning season, the north group top goal scorer, Oboavwoduo, has transitioned to EDS football for the 2023/24 season.
Shea Charles
Shea first got involved with Football flick academy in 2016 using the Urban range to showcase his skills and since this he has had a huge rise through the city academy.
The young Northern Ireland man turned quite a few heads in January when he moved for big money from Manchester City to Southampton. The fee was rumoured to be around 15 million. This is a huge fee for somebody who only ever made one professional appearance however, it shows the talent he so clearly possesses.
Russell Martin had high praises for the young man. Southampton manager Russell Martin said: “Shea is a very talented, intelligent, and mature young player with great potential to develop his game with us.
“He has been well schooled at Manchester City, coming through an elite Academy all the way to the first team. We’ve watched him closely and we’re confident he’s got the right attributes to help us in the way we’re going to play.”
Shea was a part of the many Manchester City academy players who enjoyed using our PRO range. He
Jadel Katongo
Katongo is another promising young talent who is currently on loan at Peterborough who are hoping to chase promotion back into the Championship. Katongo scored his first professional goal against Cambridge United!
He will hope to impress on a regular basis while on loan and try and push his way into Pep's plans.
Nico O’Reilly
The young starlet scored an outrageous scorpion kick from a tight angle in the 94th minute to win the game for Manchester City last month and keep their U18 Premier League title challenge on track. Seven days later, after seeing his wonder goal go viral, he sent City fans wild again with a 40-yard lob in a Manchester derby victory. With both wins, City went on to win their division.
This caught the attention of Pep Guardiola who congratulated him on the incredible goals. Nico was also part of the many City players who trained with our Pro Range!
Calvin Ramsay
You might remember footage of young Scottish talent Calvin Ramsey that showed him practising as a young boy with his Urban Skills Trainer.
Ramsay passed the ball up the curved ramp to then receive the ball back which will inevitably improve the first touch. The Urban Skills Trainer is the world’s ONLY scientifically validated training product. It is great to see it is helping the likes of Calvin progress to the highest level.
Now, the young Scottish full back plays for European giants Liverpool and is currently playing for local side Preston North End. Hopefully he can showcase his skills when he returns from injury this month!
Project Future Ballers
The Future Ballers project is designed to bring PRO Training equipment to the next generation of talent. We want to share their progress and how their skills can develop on the training ground and at home.
All three ballers have been working with the Pro Range and their first session allowed the players to get to grips and test their volleying skills with both the new PRO Skills Trainer and PRO Wall Rebounder.
Layton Stewart
Stewart has recently signed for PNE on a three year contract. The 21-year-old had shown real promise in the Liverpool ranks as a kid and made a first-team debut for the Reds last season.
The time had come for Stewart to move on but he has been forced to wait for a debut with Lowe believing that he needed to build himself up physically.
Over a month into the campaign, Stewart has now made his Championship bow for PNE and will be looking to kick on moving forward!
James Norris
The talented fullback is currently on loan at tranmere in league two ready to show off his talent to the football league. He will hope this season can be a year he can really make an early statement in his career.
Caden Kelly
Nineteen year old attacking midfielder for Sunderland. Caden is tipped to make more first team appearances this season. He has signed a new contract for Sunderland so he will hope he is in their future plans. Sunderland have the youngest average age in the Championship so they are no stranger to giving young talent a run out.
