Well, I’m guessing everybody has enjoyed a rollercoaster of events during this year's Euros. England dramatically won to reach the Euros final in a row. They will face a fantastic Spain team who have been the standout team the whole tournament. Both teams and many other countries have enjoyed glorious moments which included some incredible goals on the way. Today, we are going to look at the top 8 goals of the euros so far.
Nicolo Barella
Italy the former holders had a tournament to forget as they were outclassed by Spain and Switzerland. However, they do have a moment to remember as Barella scored a delicious volley and catched the Albania keeper out to progress through the group stages.
Arda Guler
The young prodigy who plays for Real Madrid had a lot of pressure from Turkish fans to deliver on the biggest stage. He delivered by scoring an outstanding goal outside the box to send Turkey into a quarter final.
Xherdan Shaqiri
It wouldn’t be an international tournament without Shaqiri scoring a screamer. Once again he uses that left wand and the ball loops over the keeper. This may be Shaqiri’s last Euro’s but he has been incredible for his national team and brought some magical moments for the nation.
Xavi Simons
Heartbreak for Netherlands as they crashed out in the Semi Final to England. Xavi Simons scored an incredible goal though to give them the lead just 8 minutes into the game. Simons, who has had a brilliant season with RB Leipzig, delivered on the international stage. He will hope to help his team to progress even further in the World Cup.
Ollie Watkins
Ollie Watkins who was a squad player for most of the Euros scored a delightful goal in the 90th minute to send England into the final. An incredible moment for the Villa striker. He couldn’t have dreamed of a better impact as he had all of England in disbelief.
Mert Muldur
A goal that might go unrecognised as it wasn’t in the knockout stages. However, you can’t take away the skill and precision of this goal… wonder strike! There is no doubt that if this goal was scored in a knockout stage this would be classed as the best goal of the tournament.
Lamine Yamal
The player of the tournament so far at just 16 years of age Yamal has 3 assists and 1 goal. Against France the young Barcelona man curled a shot into the top corner sending the whole of Europe a message that he is the real deal.
Jude Bellingham
Well, this goal was out of this world. England were about to be knocked out of the cup until Jude Bellingham scored an overhead kick in the 94 minute to take the game into extra time. England then went on to qualify and now see themselves in the final.
After a brilliant summer with football, we have the showdown on Sunday night at 8pm. Spain will face England. We will hope for some goals similar to these on the list!
